Classic Seafood Dip | Smoked Seafood Dip | Baked Seafood Dip Recipe

Made with our seafood seasoning Shellback, this creamy, cheesy seafood dip delivers on flavor with the right amount of zing in the heat department. This appetizer is a fantastic crowd pleaser and easy to feed a swarm of people. Our classic seafood dip allows you to use any of your favorite dippers such as toasted baguettes, crackers, chips, or pretzels.

COOK TIME: 35 mins - Oven 65 mins - Smoker

TOTAL TIME: 45 mins+

SERVINGS: 46 (2 Tablespoons)

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened

  • 2 1/2 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese, divided Substitutions available

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion

  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, very finely chopped or pressed

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, divided

  • 1/2 pound (8 ounces) medium peeled and deveined shrimp, cut into bite-sized pieces (1 1/2 cups)

  • 1 cup crab meat (imitation crab meat is not recommended as it is too sweet)

***If you want to add more heat - 3/4 cup Hot Sauce



Classic Smoked Seafood Dip Recipe

Oven Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of the cheese, 1 1/2 tablespoons Shellback Seafood Seasoning, green onion, garlic and 1 tablespoon of the parsley in medium bowl until well blended. Add shrimp and crab meat; stir gently to mix.


  • Spread mixture in shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with remaining 1 cup cheese, 1/2 tablespoon Shellback Seafood Seasoning, and remaining parsley.


  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until shrimp is cooked through and dip is lightly browned and bubbly. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dippers.


  • Test Kitchen Tip: Prepare this dip a day ahead! Assemble dip in the baking dish and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator and let stand 10 minutes, then bake as directed when ready to serve.

  • Spread mixture in shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with remaining 1 cup cheese, 1/2 tablespoon Shellback Seafood Seasoning, and remaining parsley.


  • Smoke 60 to 75 minutes or until shrimp is cooked through and dip is lightly browned and bubbly. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dippers.
